Angela Konert heads the BMW Group Government and External Affairs Office of in Sacramento, Calif. She coordinates corporate positioning with all relevant stakeholders in the fields of environmental, mobility and sustainability policies in California, Oregon and Washington.

Previously, Konert coordinated BMW’s international political communication on issues related to social policy and electric mobility. She also managed the communication activities with key opinion leaders, government representatives and city officials to promote policies fostering the uptake of electric vehicles in multiple markets. Her career with BMW began in London at the Representative Office for the UK and Ireland representing the BMW Group in a broad range of bodies covering the whole range of policy issues.

Konert grew up in Germany and holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the London School of Economics.
