General Motors and EVgo announced today their commitment to accelerate electric vehicle uptake in the U.S. by installing 2700 fast chargers across the nation starting next year. The chargers will use 100% renewable energy.
“I am overjoyed to see Veloz members form partnerships like this one,” said Veloz Executive Director Josh D. Boone. “Putting more fast chargers in visible, well-trafficked areas will show potential electric car drivers just how easy it is to go electric, and also give those who have already joined the electrification revolution more convenience and refueling options.”
GM and EVgo are founding members of Veloz and both organizations hold seats on Veloz’s board of directors.
