Kent Leacock is Director of Government Relations and Public Policy for Proterra where he is responsible for working with local governments to bring battery all-electric transit buses to municipalities throughout North America. He has responsibility for government/regulatory affairs, public policy, advocacy, grant oversight and strategic relationship building.

Prior, Leacock was responsible for external affairs at Acorn Energy, Inc., a holding company whose portfolio companies manufacture utility grid and energy security related products. He also worked as a consultant designing comprehensive external affairs programs encompassing government relations, public affairs, industry awareness, communications and strategic relationship building.

Before consulting, he spent a decade as a senior executive with AT&T and Comcast in the East, Midwest and West, four years of which concentrated on policy strategy, municipal contract negotiations and government relations.

Leacock received his undergraduate degree from Brown University and a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University.
